Dunkeswell | £35,000 - £60,000 per annum + overtime (after 38 hours completed) | 6am - 4pm | Monday to Friday - one day off on rota, weekend off | 38 hours - basic | Overtime available after 38 hours | Permanent

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a skilled Machine Setter to join a production team in Dunkeswell. The role involves ensuring machinery is correctly set up, adjusted, and maintained to produce high-quality products, supporting continuous production and assisting engineering teams where necessary.

Key Duties:

• Set up and adjust production machinery to ensure product quality and specification compliance.
• Complete machine changeovers efficiently and accurately, particularly for size changes.
• Support engineering teams in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues.
• Operate machinery or assist in production when not performing technical tasks.
• Respond to breakdowns, apply mechanical knowledge, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, safety, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the production area.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a production or machine-setting environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with solid problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Flexible, proactive approach and a willingness to learn and develop.
• Reliable team player with a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.
