Industrial Storage Installation Engineer

Exeter | £35,000 per annum DOE + Overtime & Benefits | 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday | Full-Time, Permanent | UK-Wide Travel

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an Industrial Storage Installation Engineer to join a dynamic and friendly installation team based in Exeter. This role involves installing pallet racking systems and mezzanine floors across commercial and industrial projects throughout the UK. Occasional overnight stays and weekend work may be required.

Key Duties:

• Install and maintain industrial pallet racking and mezzanine floors on site.
• Operate scissor lifts safely.
• Work to specification, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
• Assist the Team Leader to complete installations on time and to client satisfaction.
• Follow all health and safety protocols and maintain a safe work area.
• Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in installation, fitting, mechanical assembly, maintenance, or construction.
• Strong practical skills and proficiency with hand tools (band saw, drills, etc.).
• Ability to read design drawings and cut steel racking to specification.
• Full UK driving licence essential (towing licence desirable).
• Physically fit and comfortable working at height.
• Flexible and willing to travel across the UK.
• Scissor Lift licence essential.
• FLT Counterbalance or Reach Truck licence desirable (training can be provided).
• Good communication skills and team player attitude.

• Forklift & Reach Truck Certification
