Acorn hops to Children's Hospice South West with Easter Egg donations

Leading multi-specialist recruitment and training agency, Acorn, has presented Children’s Hospice South West with Easter Egg donations from the community.

Acorn’s Barnstaple Branch on Boutport Street has been collecting Easter Eggs and monetary donations from local businesses in aid of the hospice.

Jessica Williams, Team Leader for Acorn’s Barnstaple Branch, said: “the Easter egg collection was a fantastic opportunity for us to give something real and tangible back to the community in which we work. We were able to give over 85 eggs to the children and over £200 in monetary donations to the hospice and it was a great feeling to be able to deliver the eggs just in time for the Easter break.”

Alana Marie Smith, Director of Fundraising for Children’s Hospice South West, said: “we are very grateful and thrilled to have received the donations from Acorn and other local businesses. It has definitely put a smile on the children’s faces and it is always great to get the support from local businesses.”

Children’s Hospice South West provides hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West. They offer a range of care from respite and short breaks, to emergency, palliative and end of life care.
