In an effort to allay fears over the future situation in the UK, Acorn is reaching out to EU agency workers.
Pavan Arora, head of talent development at Acorn Recruitment, told Recruiter how Acorn is supporting EU workers by sending out Brexit update mailers to those on its database to give them the latest information on applying to the EU settlement scheme.
“We have also been regularly sharing links to information we have posted on our website on the subject on social media,” he said.
“Acorn’s consultants are up to date with the latest Brexit information so they are prepared to offer support and answer questions in branch. As it is a complicated process we have also advised that if agency workers need assistance in completing a Settlement Scheme application, they can contact their local Acorn branch where they will be able to access a computer if they don’t have access to one at home.
“We are also encouraging our EU agency workers to complete the application process to stay within the UK and continue to work for Acorn and our clients post-Brexit – whatever that Brexit looks like. At Acorn we will do whatever we can to support our clients to employ and retain the staff they need for their businesses. For many of our clients EU workers are a pivotal part of their workforce – which is why information, help and support is needed across the board, for workers and companies alike at this time of uncertainty.”
