Acorn Recruitment has appointed Debbie Jones as its new Team Leader in the Three Counties area as it continues to break new ground across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Debbie has worked in the recruitment sector for more than 15 years, and the UK recruiter will help respond to an ever-increasing demand for its services across all three areas.
Previously a Senior Consultant for Cordant, Debbie brings a wealth of industry knowledge with her to her new role as Team Leader for Gloucester and covering its surrounding areas too.
Debbie’s local knowledge as a Gloucester resident will also come into play as Acorn looks to continue supporting the city region in transforming itself as a centre for innovation and manufacturing too.
Debbie said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have joined up with Acorn as a UK recruiter that is known to take a candidate centred approach to recruitment, and I’m excited about the opportunities that await job seekers and businesses alike in the Three Counties region as a result of our presence here.”
“As a Gloucester resident myself, I’m also really looking forward to putting my knowledge and experience to use in support of the city’s development as a centre for business and industry, and its continued growth overall too.”
The number of roles has increased across the Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester areas and other sectors due to a combination of market pressures brought about by the pandemic, Britain’s departure from the European Union and more.
Working across the Three Counties region, Debbie will also have a part to play in supporting Gloucester City Council’s economic growth strategy for 2019-22, which aims to give the city its own distinctive economic identity within that time too.
Bernard Ward, Managing Director at Acorn Recruitment, who is also a Gloucester resident said: “I am also a Gloucester resident, and have seen first-hand the demand for our services has been steadily rising within the Three Counties region for some time and understandably, following the arrival and expansion of various large-scale employers based locally in recent years.”
“So, we are really delighted to have secured the services of an experienced recruiter like Debbie for the greater good of our clients, as well as those looking for new employment opportunities in the Three Counties region at the present time.”
“Acorn is looking forward, as one of the UK’s leading recruiters, to rolling out its expertise for the benefit of the area as a whole and we are delighted to welcome Debbie in leading that charge as Team Leader,” Bernard added.
Acorn works to develop careers, grow businesses and fulfil ambitions for job seekers and organisations alike.
It has a network of more than 30 branches across the UK and specialist divisions, working with hundreds of UK and international businesses to make sure job seekers are matched with the best opportunities available.
