We give a realistic and balanced view of any available opportunity – giving you the best chance of finding the right role to match your specialist skills.
Here at Acorn our skilled consultants carry out comprehensive interviews and assessments of each individual. By using open-ended questioning techniques and asking evidence-based competency and biographical questions, our consultants work with you to build an accurate picture of your career history, skills, training and achievements.
We apply levels of selection criteria to the recruitment process, making sure that both you and your potential employer are the right fit for each other.
We begin with reviewing CV applications, making sure that any of our applicants possess the right levels of qualification and experience before moving you on to the next stage.
We’ll carry out some initial pre-screening and a pre-screening or telephone interview, looking at your suitability for the role and desire to migrate overseas. At this point we’ll look at identifying any potential issues with respect to health or character that could affect the visa process.
If selected, you’ll then be invited to a seminar, which includes a face-to-face formal interview.
During the third stage, you’ll take part in a formal, competency-based interview, where searching questions will be asked around your experience – you’ll need to provide real-life working examples to answer the questions. You’ll also need to take part in any technical tests determined by the employer.
At this point, each candidate will need to complete a drugs and alcohol test, and consent is sought to carry out a criminal CRB/PNC check.
Finally, we’ll seek two work references before making final selection and recommendations to the employer.
